Tikun Olam - Spread your light!

This holiday season didn't start out well here in Israel, but I still hope that the violent uproar we're facing can be appeased by tolerance, mutual respect, equal human rights and tireless peace efforts!

It is up to each of us to make a simple choice: spread hate and receive hate OR defeat the darkness by giving a personal example of empathy, compassion, positive creativity and loving kindness.

"'Tikun olam' is a Jewish concept defined by acts of kindness performed to perfect or repair the world. The phrase is found in the Mishnah, a body of classical rabbinic teachings. It is often used when discussing issues of social policy, insuring a safeguard to those who may be at a disadvantage."

In this spirit I want to wish you a Happy Hanukkah and Merry Christmas with your loved ones. May you always look ahead for the light at the end of the tunnel and find the strength, courage and the 'right design' to reach out to others and inspire peaceful solutions and a change for the better!
